Oh my goodness, I am excited about this post. I love pretzels. I love ham. I also greatly love cheese. I could stop right there and we would be set. But I found this recipe that is to die for. Granted I am not perfect when it comes to the kitchen so some of these pictures resemble my imperfections. Bear with me. They were super tasty though.
You can find the original recipe here.
Her pictures are wayyyyyy better. Even she admits though that she had some trials and tribulations with her batch.
There you can see I have the dough all mixed and let it sit and rise for about a couple of hours.
After it was done rising, I rolled it out in semi-thin sheets. Seriously, my prowess in the kitchen is unparalleled.
I then put the ham bits and shredded cheese in the middle of the sheets. This next part was not easy. I must say.
You then need to TIGHTLY roll it up. Mine was not tight enough…. my contents were spilling in the next step. Cut them into pieces.
You then need to boil them in baking soda water. This is where those rolls needed to be rolled tightly. The ham was all in the bottom of my pot. Oh well.
You then bake them for about 15 minutes. When they are nice and golden, brush with some butter and sprinkle with some chunky salt. And you get this!
Again, not an easy task. Delicious, but not easy. I might try my hand at just some regular pretzels next time. We shall see.
I know I am a little behind on my blogging but bear with me, it has been a long couple of days. We are finishing a members only coupon at REI tomorrow so it has been supremely crazy! Anyway, not too long ago I made this delicious technically breakfast food but we ended up eating them for lunches at work for a couple of days. Really very simple and yet so delicious!
The original recipe can be found here.
I modified a little for what I had in the house and also what TJ was more fond of than what was in the recipe. Yum yum yum I must say! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
I lined a cupcake liner with deli ham slices. Nothing fancy here just sandwich meat.
I loaded the bottom with cheese. I could stop there and it would be enough lol.
Then I poured the scrambled egg mixture over it and baked it for roughly 20-25 minutes. I am so bad at this. I tend to just keep an eye on it without really keeping time. Until they look done is how long I baked them for.
Look at that deliciousness! Seriously, I would eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Give it a go! Its quick and yummy!
I am a sucker for sweet breakfast foods. I am really a sucker for any sweets altogether. It can be kind of a problem. Haha. Anyway, TJ ended up calling in sick today because of a horrible migraine. Poor TJ. But that meant I could make these waffled cinnamon rolls as kind of a special treat! I only bought one little can of cinnamon rolls so it only made two for each of us but oh boy were they yummy!
You can find the original recipe/post here.
Mine turned out a little bigger than hers but definitely as yummy as hers I’m sure. Haha!
I forgot to take a picture of when I put them on the griddle but I took an after!
How cute are those!
Then you take the icing and drizzle it all over the waffles. So stinking yummy!!!
It is super easy.
You turn on your waffle maker and you left it preheat.
Once it is ready, you spray both sides with nonstick spray and you open the can of cinnamon rolls and place them on the griddle.
I let mine sit for about 2 1/2 minutes. That was perfect.
I also microwaved my icing a little bit to be able to drizzle it all over the waffles.
There you go! Delicious sounding right?!
In other news, April is coming up! If you have been with me long enough you know that last year I did the A to Z Challenge. This year I am participating again! I want to try and make it more cohesive but we will see how that comes along. If you want to join in the A to Z blogging challenge you can find all of the information and the sign-up list here. It is so much and can honestly be a challenge to keep on topic or even find a topic that corresponds with that letter.
Keep an eye out for A to Z posts in a couple days!
I am finally back! I know it has been a while. I can’t believe I missed the one year Anniversary of the blog! What?! I had definitely been thinking about it before I moved and then life got in the way. Sorry about that. Anyway, we are all moved in to the new house. Pictures to come very soon. I promise. Not this post but definitely soon!
But anyway, Happy anniversary to us! I plan on being more consistent this year and post more relevant posts. This past year has been great and I am looking forward to another year with you guys!
But for now, I have tried a new recipe and am here to show you just that!
Cinnamon Toast Twists:
12 slices of very soft, fresh white bread
1/4 cup (half a stick) melted butter
cinnamon sugar (1/2 C sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon)
Super simple and easy to whip up for breakfast.
I flattened out the bread, like the recipe calls for.
Then I spread both sides with melted butter. ( I did not say this recipe was healthy)
Sprinkled one side with cinnamon sugar. ( My sweet tooth is loving this!)
I folded the sides in and rolled it up. Not as easy as it sounds.
Definitely make sure you put them in the mini cupcake sheet so that they stay shut. Otherwise they will open and you will have an even bigger mess.
I only did six pieces of bread for just TJ and I.
All golden and delicious!
Cinnamon twists and eggs! Yummy!
I have tried a couple other recipes but forgot to take pictures! Will take pictures next time and will get those pictures up soon!
Okie dokie, so I love making food. I mean like really love making food. I enjoy putting things together and trying new recipes. I love all kinds of flavors (garlic being my all-time fave). So, I was making my grocery list this week and remembered I have a huge board on pinterest full of recipes to try and I am trying to share with you what I have tried and how it turned out. Well, this one was a success! Check it!
~Won Ton Wraps
Here is the original pictures from the pin:
You can’t tell me you don’t want to try these out!
Well, I came home from work tonight and wanted something super easy to throw together to snack on while we watched a season premier of fave show Haven. Here is my attempt:
So, here is my seasoned taco meat and my man helping stir it, love him 🙂
Found these won ton wraps at our local Sprouts and instantly knew I had to get them to try this recipe!
Then it was time to fit the little wraps in the cupcake pan!
Next I partially filled the wraps with my meat, put in a little cheese, then a little bit more meat and just barely topped it off with a sprinkle of cheese!
After we stuck them in the over for about 8 min at 350 degrees, here is our finished product! You honestly just can’t go wrong with these!
When they have cooled just a little, we put a little bit of salsa on ours but I’m sure you could add a little bit of your own toppings!
Aren’t they super cute?!
Definitely a keeper, even TJ said so! Great party finger food! Super light and super easy to make!
