Oh man guys, has it been a long couple of weeks and it is about to get longer. Between family coming to visit, getting back to life, figuring out work stuff, skiing (yes, there was a little pleasure in the long weeks teehee), and now taking over for my other boss because she just welcomed a little one into her little family! Yay!! Life is crazy? Right? Or is it just me?
There has also been much figuring out within my marriage too. I have come to realize that marriage is a constant growing of both sides. One side can’t grow in the relationship and the other stay stagnant. People change and that in turn changes how they interact with everyone, especially the people they are closest. Sometimes the growing is in a good way! I am totally one of those people that believe that no matter what, whether you grow for good or change for not so good, I stay in a relationship. I am not getting all preachy here, just this is me. I only want to stay with one man for my lifetime. I don’t ever see divorce as an option. There are dire circumstances that it would only ever be a possibility but I don’t ever see that happening! I am head over heels for this man! Even on days when I am not, I choose to love. It may not uber romantic but it is me saying ‘I am here and here to stay.’
So that was my little relationship soapbox for the day. Haha! Wow, didn’t see that one coming out…
Right now, I am also in the midst of training for a half marathon! It is my first and I am only up to being able to run 5 miles at this point! But honestly, this is huge for me! Last year, I wasn’t even really able to run a mile! This is huge! I am so determined and it feels so good! I will keep you updated as my training continues!
Guys, the last couple days have been exhausting. I think I am gonna hit the hay!
See you tomorrow!
Wow! February is already here!!! I can’t even believe it! January went way too quickly. I can’t even believe it. Although, not gonna lie, I am super ready for sunshine and warmth. We just got another 4-6 inches of snow last night so I am beyond ready for some warmth and sunshine down here in Denver. Keep winter up in the mountains so I can continue to have my ski season, but warmth down here.
Anyway, my mom and sisters have been in town since last Monday! It has been a whirlwind week. They leave on Tuesday but I thought I would share some snapshots of the fun we have had!
Tuesday, I started them out by taking them to Red Rocks. It is absolutely stunning there and essential to see when you are here in the Denver area!
Aren’t these rocks beautiful?!
The amphitheater at Red Rocks!
The stairs at Red Rocks!
This is Tara’s “I totally crushed that!” face! Lol!
It looks like everyone was pretty tired!
More adventures to come! Keep an eye out!
Happy February everybody!
Alrighty guys, here is to the end of another year! 2014 has been good, I have a feeling 2015 will be better! I am super excited for what this coming year has to bring! I am super grateful for what this past year has offered!
It has been such a blessing to spend time with friends and loved ones! There have been ups and there have been downs, but all in all it has been a great year!
I went to Hawaii with my best friend!
Another amazing Husky came into my life!
I got to spend lots of time outside in this beautiful state!
I got to spend time with some amazing friends!
And the skiing has been great!
What more could a girl ask for?!
Hope you guys have an amazing New Year’s Eve! Stay safe!
See you next year my friends!
I have come to realize lately that my mind goes in so many directions all at once. I am constantly thinking about the work I need to do, and the laundry, the dishes, blogging, being active, making sure I get my dogs out on a run/hike, the book I’m reading, the TV show I want to catch up on. I can’t help it! I have so many things I want to do and am doing. I enjoy thinking about most of them, maybe not the laundry but oh well.
I am loving the Christmas season. I have put out my Christmas towels in the kitchen as well as the pot holders. We are getting our tree on Sunday and decorating it! 🙂 I love this time of year!
But I am also thinking about the New Year. I made goals for 2014 and have kept them relatively well. 2015 is a whole new year though! I will talk more about those later. I don’t want to get all of us thinking about goals already! We need to enjoy the Christmas season before it passes by us completely!
All I can say about goals now is, I am so excited about what 2015 will bring! I have plans and prospects that look great and promising! I am excited to see where life will take us!
Enjoy the season!
It’s one of my favorite months of the year! I love December! It has Christmas! It has my parents anniversary! It has my grandma’s birthday! Snow! Cookies! Christmas trees! Love! Family! I love love love it!
I have already started the month by doing something that I absolutely love! Ski! We had a wonderful day at Loveland Basin yesterday. What a better way to kick off the Christmas season?!
Why would you not want to ski there?! I mean for real?!
Anyway, I’m off. Today has been an unbelievably long day.
Where did the month of November go?! The past couple of weeks have seriously just been so busy! With family in town, working, and Thanksgiving and working Black Friday, I feel like I am just now settling down for a little rest today and tomorrow. The month of December is going to be super busy for me but I will do my best to continue writing as well as just enjoying the Christmas season! It is one of my favorites after all! I am resolved to really just enjoy this season and not get overwhelmed and grumpy because of working in retail. Life really is too short for that!
I want to really celebrate the season! I want to do the cheesy things that people do around the holidays! I love tradition around Christmas and I love having those special moments! Its great! As I am sitting here, I am definitely enjoying some Christmas tea and some Christmas music. I am so ready to really celebrate the season.
So, keep an eye out through December, I have some Christmas DIY I want to do as well as some recipes I want to try!
So long November! Hello December!
I am a girl who usually changes her hair pretty regularly. Although, lately I have been feeling a little uninspired. I haven’t changed or even cut my hair in over a year! How crazy is that?! I really do need to go get it cut. I just can’t quite decide what I really want to do! As you can see by my inspirations, they are kind of all over the board! If you want to see more hairstyles that I just absolutely love or want to try, check out my Hairstyles Pinterest Board.
