Where did the month of November go?! The past couple of weeks have seriously just been so busy! With family in town, working, and Thanksgiving and working Black Friday, I feel like I am just now settling down for a little rest today and tomorrow. The month of December is going to be super busy for me but I will do my best to continue writing as well as just enjoying the Christmas season! It is one of my favorites after all! I am resolved to really just enjoy this season and not get overwhelmed and grumpy because of working in retail. Life really is too short for that!
I want to really celebrate the season! I want to do the cheesy things that people do around the holidays! I love tradition around Christmas and I love having those special moments! Its great! As I am sitting here, I am definitely enjoying some Christmas tea and some Christmas music. I am so ready to really celebrate the season.
So, keep an eye out through December, I have some Christmas DIY I want to do as well as some recipes I want to try!
So long November! Hello December!
Denver is known for its snow. Whenever someone thinks of a terrible winter, they often think of Denver or Minnesota or Alaska. Winter in Denver is not all that bad. See, where it sticks around on the East Coast because the sun rarely comes out in the winter time, Denver has over 300 days of sunshine. 300 days of sunshine means sure we might get a pretty decent amount of snow, but it doesn’t stick around too too long. The sun comes out and melts it. Its lovely.
Anyway, here is why Denver is awesome in the winter!
~ It snows! ( I love snow, we just got our first snow of the season!)
~ It melts quickly! (Even better, not too much ice!)
~ It snows again! (Yay snow!)
~ It melts again!
~ The mountains keep their snow, so amazing skiing! (Skiing is my favorite activity!)
I would say those are pretty great reasons for winter in Denver! The mountains are beautifully snowcapped while Denver’s snow is melting and making driving easier. You should come visit at least once. Doesn’t matter the season, they are all wonderful here in Beautiful Colorado!
November is almost here! Can you believe it?! Where has October gone?! I’m really excited for the weather to really start cooling off! It has still been in the 70s and 80s here. So crazy! Bring on the snow!
Anyway, since November is almost here that means NaBloPoMo! That means National Blog Posting Month! So excited! I am committing to blogging everyday for the month of November! I know I know, I have struggled to keep up with monthly challenges before. But I have since organized things a little better for me and I think this one will work out well! My theme for the month is going to be lists! I am going to post a list a day. Whatever comes to mind, nothing special lol. I love lists and thought this one would be super fun!
Communal blogging challenges are so much fun! They really help with community and they help all of us to branch out of our comfort zones. That being said, I would love to see some of you guys taking the challenge too! I would love to blog along with you! Let me know if you are going to participate so I know to keep an extra eye out for your posts!
Happy blogging guys!
Happy November guys!!
I love Halloween but I have to say, Thanksgiving and the whole Christmas/New Year’s season is by far my favorite all year! It is time to start busting out the Christmas music and start the baking. You can’t tell me its too early because its just not lol. But before I get ahead of myself, let’s talk about Halloween. Unfortunately I had to work last night. No big deal, the store was just ridiculously empty. But, the upside was that I got to dress up and get a two dollar burrito bowl at Chipotle. You honestly just cannot go wrong with that. So, I put on my Rosie the Riveter costume and went to work! Yay!
So, thoughts? You like? You not like? Let me know!
As well as dressing up Halloween, I also painted my toes!
I saw this on pinterest:
And did my own version on my toes:
I am by no means a pro (as you can see on the right toe) but It was still fun to try!
Well, there you have it! Happy belated Halloween and don’t get too sick on candy!
Stay tuned for my latest cooking and decorating adventures!
